Hailing from Birmingham, England, Seth Anthony Pinnock, the eldest of four sons, grew up in a vibrant Christian environment where his parents served in pastoral ministry. Accustomed to this culture, his knowledge and interest grew within the faith.
At the tender age of 7, Seth gained notoriety for his unique gift in song. Throughout his teens, he became a member of a trailblazing mixed denomination choir named, ‘Designed Destiny’. The exploits for his faith took him across many cities and exposed him to more experience and confidence in the multi faceted methods of ministry. Designed Destiny went on to appear on GMTV and the BBC.
As time progressed, Seth naturally elevated into leadership roles within his academic and ministerial pursuits, be it serving as a youth leader at his local church, leading services or speaking at various schools, prisons, churches and conferences. The accolades continued to be accredited through various awards by renowned Christian institutions.
Despite the apparent successes, Seth’s encountered numerous hurdles and hindrances in his childhood. However, rather than being halted by them he used them as the fuel towards his future. The very experiences that caused him pain, led to the birth of Seth’s first event – Midnight Cry – which was held in his home church.
Whilst studying for his GCSEs, Seth had a vision to create an environment where youth can develop and enhance their Christian faith. Not limiting its definition to creative expressions, but also faith in regards to social justice and corporate exploits. Moved by this conviction Seth refused to allow it to be a passing idea but began to use his faith, charm and innate business acumen towards bringing the vision together.
In 2006 he formed See & Be Transformation Services (now known as God’s Bride Ministries) a faith based voluntary organization that hosts socio-evangelistic projects and charitable programs which focus on educating, empowering and equipping people, families and communities towards a positive and successful future, encouraging them see and be their purpose in life, despite its challenges. It exists as a voice and an unifying agency that partners churches, ministries, organizations, movements, charities and projects around the UK with hopes to expand internationally over the course of this decade.
Finally, in July 2007, at the tender age of 17, the first Midnight Oil Summit was held at a £5.2m convention centre in Birmingham. To the celebration of many and the surprise of doubters, the event was coordinated and funded purely by the donations and voluntary help of others in his faith. Contrary to the status quo of young people today, Seth managed a team of over 100 (aged 12 – 25) from across the country, proving to successfully administer the roles both of an experienced events manager and evangelist with integrity and diligence.
Now attracting over 1000 delegates annually and world renown’s leaders within the Christian community. The Midnight Oil Summit continues to hold a distinctive niche within the BME Christian community as possibly the only, if not first national, non-denominational, youth and young adult’s conference managed from start to finish by young people from churches across the United Kingdom.
Despite being heavily active in ministry Seth studied hard at school and achieved 12 GCSE’s (6 of which was A*-A). He further went on to gain 4 A levels at the King Edwards VI Grammar School 6th form. Following this experience, his passion for art, business, architecture and design intensified and numerous industrial links where formed.
In 2006 Seth spent a month in Namibia and South Africa as an ambassador for his School. There he witnessed the extremes of life, from suburban mansions to dilapidated shantytowns; the severe economic gulf between lifestyles was reflected immensely through the communities architecture. In light of this, Seth was truly moved to pursue his childhood dream of becoming an architect. One that strives to revive the aesthetics of communities, regardless of their economic status, through innovative and intricate design.
Now living in London, Seth is studying architecture at degree level, and in turn launched the Spin Creative Unit, a graphic and website design company that plans to ultimately become an astute architectural and interior design firm, with extensions within the arts, animation and media.
It is evident that Seth has the spirit of an entrepreneur and the heart of a servant; his achievements to date are testament to this. Currently, Seth is an active member of his home church ‘Ruach Ministries’ and sits as a youth representative for the ‘Council Of Black Led Churches’, which represents over 300 churches with the West Midlands region, he has spoken at many political and social initiatives most notably the Governments national ‘Inter-Faith Week’ launch conference where many high profile politicians and religious leaders beyond the Christian community were present.
These projects continue to demonstrate many personal prophesies coming to pass; however it is Seth’s intent to fulfil only his own potential but also helps others reach theirs.
His speeches have featured on the Tony Blair foundation website, and he was shortlisted by David Lammy MP, Trevor Phillips OBE and Jean Tomlin HR Director of London Olympics 2012 as the UK’S 7th Best Black Student – an award that was received at the House Of Commons.
Continuing in this vein in 2009 the KingdomBOY! brand was founded, a budding, record, production, clothing and publishing company. It promises to leave a fresh footprint that is inspirational and trendsetting, providing platforms of performance for enthusiasts.
Penciled plans include Planted & Crystal Valley, two community based initiatives that involves investment banking, financial services, property and leisure.
Seth now 21 years old fronts a Christian band called ‘A New Thing’ (A.N.T.). From supporting Grammy nominated artists to touring Europe plus many major pipeline projects. It is apparent A.N.T are gearing up to be a pioneering, ground breaking affluence to the current Christian music scene.
To congeal these ventures 2010 saw the birth of Chosen Inc. It stands as the conglomeration of the separately run companies and organizations (Planted, Gods Bride Ministries, KingdomBOY! and the Spin Creative Unit) with core venture areas being music and ministry, media and clothing, architecture and design, financial advisories and social justice.
While imperfect, and flawed Seth realises he is a mere vessel willing to be used by God of which none other can take credit. It is with this sprit of servitude that it is highly likely that more ventures of such, if not greater calibre will be birthed out of the evangelical, entrepreneur that is Seth Pinnock.
…for surely, the best is yet to come!
